1 month Pictures

Last weekend Tim's friend from work, who does Photography as a hobby came over and took some pictures of Donovan and the fam! She did a great job and I love every single picture so the ones posted are some of my favorites! Donovan was very good, no breakdowns and loved getting his picture taken! It was a lot of fun, and I already have her scheduled to come for his 6 month pictures!

Donovan has had a few rough weeks, just fussy all day long. I realize that baby's are going to cry, but all day long and not sleeping, I decided I needed some help. We went to the pediatrician on Monday. SHe asked how much I was feeding him I told her 4 oz, every few hours. She thought he was over eating, which was leading him to have a stomach ache. He had gained 18 oz, in 12 days, which was double of what she would have liked to have seen. He is definately a Marco, eating until he pukes, and until he is sick. Ok not ALL Marco's just my husband. So we cut that down to 3 oz, and has made a huge difference, he is a much happier baby, which makes much happier parents!
Tim's parents are coming tonight to babysit, Tim and I are going out to dinner for the first time since Donovan was born. I am very excited! My parents are going to Madison Monday and stopping here. It will be fun to see if they think he has changed!

1 month already

This Sunday (not that I am looking ahead or anything), Donovan will be 1 month old. I can't believe how fast it has gone. It is amazing how time can fly when you have no sleep! He is a great baby, who loves to be held and cuddled all day long. I invested in a baby sling today so I can get a few things done. If it were up to him, we would be cuddling and eating on the couch all day. He has the sensitive side like his dad!

Past week and a half, he has not been sleeping very good at night, falling asleep in my arms, then I put him done and 45 minutes later waking up and wanting to be held, then I get him to sleep, then 45 minutes later he is hungry again. He is lucky he is do darn cute! Mommy is tired! I am done with breast feeding and I am weaning him off. He stays awake longer when feeding formula and hopefully will fill him up quicker and longer. He finally fits into his newborn cloths, and before I know it he will be in 3 month cloths.

LAst weekend my girlfriends came from MN and Chicago to meet Donovan, it meant a lot to have them come and visit me (even though I am pretty sure it wasn't all just to see me!) Donovan was loving being cuddled by the girls and I think they loved it just as much. He is lucky to have such great "Aunties"! Can't wait to see you girls again soon!

Payton is a great big brother! He is handling the transition perfect! He doesn't even care anymore when Donovan is crying. And loves to smell Donovan! He is still very needy, between the two of them, I have my hands full!

Birth Announcements will be out soon!

2 weeks new!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas! Ours was great! Family came to us so it was nice to have X-Mas at our house. Tim's Dad made tons of Seafood on Christmas Eve which was excellant! Then christmas day the food continued, which didn't help with my baby weight! But was worth it!

I can't believe Donovan is already two weeks old! We had our pediatrician appointment and he has gained 1 lbs in 8 days which is double what the doctor expected! He has also grew 2 inches as well! He has been eating like a little monster so that didn't surprise me. We are getting to know Donovan a little more and more each day and he is quite a special little boy. He has a great temperment, and seems very content majority of the day. He is becoming more aware everyday and checking out his surroundings more and more. He is starting to make more eye contact and even gives those slight little smiles, which are probably gas, but they are so cute that I am going to just pretend he is smiling at me! Everyday seems to get a little easier and more natural for us! Tim is a GREAT dad, who seems like he has been a dad forever, it comes very easily for Tim, I am not surprised at all!

My mom leaves tomorrow, and I can't even begin to Thank her for everything she has done! Making dinner, running errands, helping with Payton and most importantly holding Donovan so that I can take a nap! I will miss her very much, she has made my transition to becoming a mom easy, but I learn from the best!
